Henry Colton enlisted as Private in Company B in May 1861, served two years, and was mustered out in June 1863.

he is buried at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Royalton, Niagara County, NY along with two other Coltons who could be his wife and daughter, although that is yet to be confirmed.

Their stones reads:
